Today I started Week 4 of the C25K challenge, AGAIN, for what is the 3rd and hopefully, the final time!!! I still didn't make it the entire way. I did the first 3 minutes, then the 5 minutes, then the 3 minutes, and then only 4 minutes. So today I was still 1 minute short. But a vast improvement!! I think, I hope, I can make it the whole way on Thursday. I've been eating more red meat, actually I've been eating more food in general. Healthy food, but more of it. And I think it's helping. I've read a lot of conflicting things about calorie counting and such. I've read you should eat 1300, 1500, 2000, and up. I have no idea which one is correct, but what I do know is that I'm only losing about a pound a week or less, during this process. What I have found to be true, for myself, is this... I find it WAY more frustrating when I fail to finish a run, than when I don't lose any weight. For now, for me, the most important thing is having the energy to do these runs, so I've decided to increase the amount of healthy food I'm eating in a day, hopefully giving me more energy for the runs. I also started taking a multi vitamin and a Super B complex.
So, new plan is more vitamins, more food, more fuel, more running!! We'll see how that goes for me. You'll be the first to know.
On another note... The treadmill I usually use wouldn't turn on today, so I was forced to run in front of the GIANT wall of mirrors. If that doesn't motivate you to keep going NOTHING will.
