Mile A Day Challenge 2013

Today was the FINAL day of the Mile A Day Challenge, which ran November 28th{Thanksgiving day} through January 1 {New Years Day}. And the plan was to post a pic, of the running shoes, to Instagram every day of the challenge.

I am not capable of running every single day, partly becuz it's hard on my joints, partly becuz it's hard for me to get up that early in the morning, every week day. So I made up my own rules for this challenge. I didn't run a mile, EVERY single day, but I did run enough miles to cover EVERY day of the challenge. I also struggled at coming up with creative ways to take pics and post to Instagram, becuz I ran on a treadmill every day.  But here's a look at MY version of the Mile A Day Challenge:

I ate horribly during this holiday challenge, but enjoyed every minute of it!
My hope was that with all that running, I might not gain too much weight.
Well, considering how much I ate, I only gained 5lbs.
Not too bad!!!

Am I glad this challenge is over? Yes. Will I do it again next year? Most likely, Yes.  I've never kept track of how far or often I run, so this has been interesting. For Christmas, my son gave me a fitness journal/log, I'm kinda looking forward to see what I can accomplish in 2014.
