We're back!!

Well, actually we've been back from our U.P. Adventure vacation for a couple of days now, but I've been a bit under the weather. I haven't blogged since Tuesday, so I'll bring you up to speed on the last couple days of the vacation...

Maddy started a new book on Monday, and she's in no hurry to get up today!!

We spent most of the day lounging around and reading and relaxing

Maddy finished her book and decided we should make a trip up to Sault St. Marie, to find the next book in the series.  So we loaded up and off we went. We found the WalMart, did a little shopping. They didn't have the book, so we went down town and found a book store

We actually got several books, and a couple bookmarks!

Maddy wanted to see the Soo Locks but this is about as close as you can get in the winter... bummer!!

And THAT is Canada over there. Maddy wanted to go, but we don't have passports so we couldn't

After we did our sightseeing and shopped several stores, we headed back to my dads place for steak supper, we've been checking the weather reports all week, and it's saying it's going to be 65 at home on Wednesday, so we decide that in the morning we will load up and head for home.  Maddy has stuff to do at the horse barn and NO WAY are we missing out on 65 degree weather!!!

Crossing the bridge was a lot less scary without the snow storm and the dark!!! After we got across the bridge, Maddy and I decided to park and take some pictures from the beach.  We had the beach ALL to OURSELVES!!!  The ice floating around under the bridge was pretty cool.  I like how in the winter there are NO other tourists to get in the way of your pictures. It was kinda wet and sloppy, but I think the pictures of the Mackinaw Bridge turned out pretty good!!  After that we got in the car and continued home.

That is the end of our vacation!!! It was relaxing and fun, but I'm glad to be home.  Not feeling too great, think I've caught a cold.  I managed to get all of my unpacking done, and my laundry done.  

Went for a walk Wednesday night, OUTSIDE!!! I was so excited that I was going to be able to walk outside again!!! Ali dog was pretty excited too.  Unfortunately the wind was blowing like 40mph, and they had just grated the dirt road.  We still walked outside, we just didn't walk very far!! And since I wasn't feeling good, I decided that was ok, at least we walked, and we were outside!!! 

Thursday, was pretty much a nothing kind of day, down loaded my pics, put together an order. Organized my studio a bit.  Chatted with my BFF, Shelli. Went to a friends house for a visit, and a hair color party ~our crazy daughters were coloring their hair!!! 

Today is Friday. Grocery/Date night.  The last day of my vacation. I'm hoping to make it to the gym this morning. Then do some banking. If it warms up ~I may go out to the barn with Maddy and see some horses.  Pic up my picture order. Working on Project Life album. Buying new running shoes. And tomorrow, Maddy, Shelli and I are off to Lansing for a Horse Expo, where Maddy will be spending obscene amounts of money to get ready for show season!!! Sunday, Camera club Meeting.
