theCountdown: 67 Days {10weeks}

Hey, I've been absent for a few days, miss me!?!?!? I'm certain you didn't, but I'm back anyway!! Like a bad cold, you just can't get rid of!!!! Or like the car accident, you know you shouldn't look, you don't want to look, but you can't help but look ~sometimes you wish you hadn't looked!!!  Strangely enough, I could've sworn I posted something on Saturday but maybe I just composed it in my head, and never typed it!!! That could be, it got pretty busy Saturday.  Went to the gym, did Week1Day2, got shakes, went to farmer's market, went to barn with Maddy, since we were short on time, I cleaned BOTH stalls, while Maddy rode.  Home, showered, attended open house #1, back home, quick nap, open house #2. theBoys were in Grand Rapids in the recording studio, Friday and Saturday. Sunday morning Ryan decided to go to the races, I went with him, cuz Tallon wasn't going.  Ryan hurt his knee in practice, so no racing for him, today!! {It sucks, but it's the ongoing way of life for him.  He blew out both his knees years ago, and Dr.'s didn't see much point in replacing/repairing things since he would just tear everything up again racing.  I don't know too many motocross racers who haven't torn up their knees}  We stayed to watch the racing anyway.  On the way home we stopped and got groceries.  Yeah, Ryan could barely walk but he stopped to get groceries. These are the kind of fools I live with!!!  So that was my crazy weekend.  While we were at the races, Maddy did finally manage to get enough ambition to clean out her bedroom. {I forgot to take "before" pics, damn it!!}   We didn't have enough time to paint, but maybe this weekend.  So that bring you up to speed on the normal, everyday boring stuff in my life, let's move on to theCountdown!!!

theCountdown ~67 days{or 10 weeks} remaining until 5K time

Woke up this morning at 6AM, but just DID NOT want to get out of bed.  Finally rolled out at 6:30.  Still didn't want to go to gym.  I'm a bit stiff, my shins hurt, my knees hurt, my right ass muscle{wasn't even aware I had a muscle there} hurts.  But I went to the gym anyway!!  And I trudged through

 Week2Day1
On a 0.5 incline
5 min brisk walk warm up
alternate 90 seconds of running  {at 5.0mph}
and 2 minutes of walking {at 3.5mph} for  27 minutes
5 minute cool down walk
Total time=37 minutes
Total distance=2.6miles, No 2.4 ugh... not exactly sure of stats today.

I'm still really slow.  I could have kept going, but decided I would go easy on myself this morning.  I'm thinking I'm tied of hurting all the time, I'm sick of this stupid training thing.  I have a bad attitude this morning, I won't lie!!!

When I'm done with my half assed work out,  I log onto Facebook, {gotta do something while to try to stop sweating enough to go out in public and get that breakfast smoothie!!} And what do I see... This post from my daughter ~if you follow me on Facebook, you've already seen this but I wanted to share it with my few, non facebook followers, cuz I'm a dork like that!!! It's kinda hard to read, and a crappy pic, but oh well...




Of course I'm a big fat sap, and this makes me cry like a baby, but I just wish I'd read it BEFORE I went to the gym, THIS is the kind of stuff that keeps me going!!! Oh well, I will still remember it on Thursday!!! I will keep training, she's right, I have to prove to myself I can do it, it's my run, not anybody else's!! The mother who taught her daughter how to tell people to "fuck off" is NOT the mother who quits just cuz things are tough and she hurts.  That's the kind of mother who soldiers on!!!

On the project front...
I will take some pics of the room as we progress! May attempt to start some painting this afternoon!
