She said, I am done for the summer. She said, I am tapped out. She said, I am NOT going to another motocross race this season. She said, I have a giant to do list, and things to get caught up on.
He said, it won't rain this weekend, and if it does rain, it will just be a short shower and then it will be nice all weekend. He said, the trees will be pretty. He said, you are going with us. He said, it will be fun.
She changed her mind. She went
He was wrong.
That's the short version of my weekend. My husband convinced me to go to the races again this weekend. Specifically, The Grand Prix. {which in previous years has been a really awesome race, partly becuz of the cool location of the event. The first three years the event was hosted at a ski resort, and they had a bunch fun activities going on the entire weekend. It was a great time.} Ryan was certain the weather would be pretty good, and I had been wanting to go on a color tour. Tallon, was stuck home working, {for the radio station where he used to work} so we had a dog sitter. I didn't really have any good excuses NOT to go, so I went. We had to wait for Maddy to get home before we could leave. {She walked with her work, in the Homecoming parade}so we got to the track in the dark. We found a great place to park, in a little section of woods. Got camp set up, went to bed. About 5am it started to rain. Thunder, lightning, and pouring rain!! It rained until about 11am, and then quit. Seemed like it was going to be nice, so the guys raced. It started raining again at about 7pm and rained ALL night long. The turn out for the race was really disappointing, it was chilly, Ryan wasn't crazy about the track, and as a spectator, I hated the track. A lot of the race was spent in the woods, I'm not a big fan of Grand Prix or Enduro style racing, becuz of that reason. My pictures were pretty horrible. On the bright side, the scenery was nice, and it was a weekend away. But now I'm officially DONE!!! I'm sick and tired of rain!!!! Here are my pics...

Stella, the MotoPup!!! She loved it at this track. The dirt was perfect for digging giant holes and there were tons of rocks. |
